How to setup Lottery Department reconciliation (for use with Lottery Shift Reports)

After setting up Lottery Inventory and doing a few Lottery Shift Reports, you will want to setup Department Rec. to catch differences.

Prerequisites:

You must be doing Lottery Inventory through Petro Outlet, and have a Lottery Scratch-Off department in your POS system that you ring up all scratch-offs under (either manually or preferably scanned)

Steps:

  • Go to Departments (Store Management, Departments - See Below:)

  • Select the Department that you use for Scratch-Offs

  • Change the "Is Lottery Scratch" flag to "Yes

  • Press the "Save Changes" button

That's It!

Now, whenever you go to view any "Lottery Shift Report" you will see two rows at the bottom that show the count and dollars of tickets sold at the POS between the current and the last Lottery Shift report as well as the reconciliatory difference between the two shift reports.
